The Balm Beach Insider is based in Balm Beach, a little village on the east side of the bay. But you’ll find we explore all areas of the bay throughout the seasons.

My name is Kim Romans and I’m an Airbnb Superhost and founder of the Balm Beach Insider.  This Georgian Bay travel blog started out as a guide I created to connect my guests to all the area has to offer.  That meant sharing secrets that only area insiders know, like where to buy locally caught fresh and smoked lake trout or route possibilities for cycling enthusiasts. Now, the Balm Beach Insider brings them to you.

We post weekly and shift our focus with the seasons so you can plan your escape to adventure on Georgian Bay in any season.  So ditch the city and come explore.  Move your body on a board, a bike or a trail.  Find wonder in nature with woods and rivers and our wide vistas out over the bay.  Enjoy the bounty of locally grown food, wines, ciders and brews.  Chill out on our blue-water beaches or in a Scandinavian-inspired spa.
