Looking to take in the fall colours? There’s nothing like a road trip through the back roads of Georgian Bay’s apple country. Planning your trip is easy as pie with the Apple Pie Trail app. This month, I took the app for a test run on a recent trip to pick up organic apples and taste local ciders.
The app’s interactive features and Google Maps integration let me explore Grey County with confidence. From one stop on the trail, I selected my next stop and away I went. It was like having a personal tour guide in my pocket.
"Like having a tour guide in your pocket,"
At its core, the app focuses on four communities on the western shores of Georgian Bay - Beaver Valley, Meaford, Thornbury and Blue Mountain Village. Bite into all the area has to offer with the app’s Trail Guide and Adventures . It connects you to :
Restaurants, bars
Orchards, cideries and wineries
Arts and culture
Accommodations, and
Adventures for warm weather and frostier temps
Catch more of my adventure on the Apple Pie Trail in October. Until then, happy trails.
Due to the ever evolving Covid-19 environment, please check-in with tours/adventures for changes in service.
