Stomp, laugh or cry at the Shipyard Kitchen Party in Collingwood
Grab a lawn chair and head over to the Shipyard Amphitheatre for a rollicking good time this Canada Day. Stomp you feet, laugh and maybe even cry as local musicians engage the audience in a little impromptu song writing.
The amphitheater is located at 2 North Maple Street. No parking on site, but you can park at the municipal lots, located downtown and walk - a 10-to-15-minute walk depending on lot. .
Showtime is 7:00 p.m. Dress for the weather, concert rain or shine.
This free event is a gift to the community as part of Theatre Collingwood’s Porchside Festival running throughout the month of July.
Midland’s Little Lake Park is a hub for Canada Day clebrations
Catch Canada Day fever in Midland with a parade, live music, and fireworks. Kick off the day with a parade up King Street at 10:30. Then grab your spot at Little Lake Park. Expect to park downtown in municipal lots. There’ll be plenty to entertain the whole family, including buskers, magicians and face painting and artisan market and much more.
Then get your groove on at the entertainment stage. The music starts at noon and goes through to 6:00 p.m. Six bands are set to storm the stage with great rock classics. Bring your own chair and sunscreen.
The big fireworks show happens at dusk.
Canada Day goes off with a bang in Wasaga
Celebrating our nation’s birthday is a three-day affair in Wasaga Beach, with a light show,live music and the best sundaes in town. The festivities kick-off with a bang on Jul 1, 2022, with the fireworks show at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park Beach 1
Summer Sets brings live music to the beach front, featuring Johnny TooNice. The band takes to the stage at 4:00 p.m. time at Wasaga Beach Area #1
And putting a cherry on the holiday weekend is Wasaga Sundaes on July 3. Let your tummy guide you on this delectable trail that features ice cream creations from featured restaurants. Taste your way across town, then vote for your favourite ice cream sundae in Wasaga Beach!
