Rachel Gelderbloom, a Balm Beach jewelry designer, puts a modern take on the art of chainmail. Her jewelry pieces are crafted by hand, ring by ring. Rachel discovers endless possibilities for her creativity with the medium. She learned her first chainmail weave more than 10 years ago. And it was love from the start.

Rachel’s knowledge of weave styles and techniques has freed her imagination and allowed her to create inventive and playful designs. Her work has transformed ancient techniques, once used to make armour, into a medium for making eye-catching jewelry. Like her Love Links. Rachel weaves a variety of chainmail styles combining stretch and metal jump rings. The result is a lightweight, no clasp stackable bracelet that is a colourful reminder that Love Links us all.

Next, Rachel is expanding into wearable art. You can meet Rachel and touch and try on her jewelry October 2 and 3, 2021. She is #21 on thebaystudiotour.com
