The perfect Georgian Bay souvenir

Updated: Oct 6, 2021

We capture our life in images and share them on our favourite social media platforms. Today, smartphones make it easy to take high-quality pictures and videos. But the best thing about memories is the fun we have making them. So why choose between engaging in life with friends and family and capturing it. Local portrait photographer Kevin Cascagnette brings his talents to candid portraits that catch the essence of your time on the beach, the girls or guys weekend or family get together.

Fleeting moments captured as they unfold

Those fleeting moments we spend with family and friends deserve to be captured and treasured. “Professional photos capture more than the facts. It’s about the feelings - the joy, the love or the friendship,” says Kevin.

Kevin’s candid portrait sessions capture more than the standard group shot. Kevin hangs out with you and your friends or family for three to four hours. The long-format session allows the day to unfold naturally.

From behind his camera Kevin captures you, living life, connecting with loved ones and making memories. “ Candid portraits give you the authenticity you’re looking for and catch the essence of what that time was all about,” he says. They are the perfect souvenir from your time on Georgian Bay.

Take home the magic

“You do you, and you’ll find the magic moments happen authentically,” says Kevin. My camera is an extension of who I am and that frees me to see and capture those little moments that might otherwise go unseen.

For clients Alana and Dave, candid portraits were just what they were looking for when their family got together at a cottage. “When we saw the photos we were overwhelmed at Kevin’s ability to capture the true feeling of the day, the spirit of us and all the special moments that happened throughout,” says the couple.

“The best photos are candid, natural and sometimes raw,” says Kevin. “They’re not always dressed up, but they’re real.” Within 24 hours of the portrait session, Kevin’s clients receive a sneak preview. The packet of edited images, he explains, gives clients elevated shots to post to their social media.
